The night passed uneventfully and the group awoke well
rested. Eager to progress through this prolonging complex they head back to
room where the quiet corpse of Bragdor now rests, as the mighty ogre fell the
group noticed that there was a door behind the brut.
After discussing at length about who should open the door to
this new room Ox eventually tired of the discussion stepped forward and flung
the door open into the next room. From the doorway the new room appeared larger
than the last, four pillars stood near each corner of the room with water
trickling down each and collecting into a pool at the base, each pillar was
covered in glowing runes.
Govan sensing magic radiating from each of the pillars began
investigating the potency and type of magic imbued into the objects. After a
short period of studying the magical aura’s Govan was able to determine that
the magic in the pillars can be activated by a person simply concentrating upon
one of the pillars.
What followed next was 10 minutes of Ox looking like a constipated
Baboon as he focused all his concentration on one pillar as nothing happened. After
a while Govan had deciphered the runes and the magical aura to figure out that
if someone was to concentrate upon the pillar with a clear image in their mind
then the pillar would reproduce that image.
The next 30minutes involved various attempts on Ox’s behalf
to get the pillars to work with results varying from a pinkish blob to a
mindless copy of the groups fighter…now I think about it, it probably is an
complete duplicate of the fighter.
Eventually the group got bored with playing around with the
pillars and the images they had created slowly faded away as they walked to the
only other door in this room.
