Happily Govan took the sugary goods and took a bite when a
puzzled look appeared on his face as he chewed whilst the rest of the group
tried hard not to laugh or snigger. After Govan finished eating he said “You
know what that tasted strange, nutty but strange. What did you guys think to
it?”
After the laughter died down from the group at Govan’s
sudden realisation as to what had just happened they eventually decided to pull
they’re act together and move further into the complex.
Eventually the party stumbled into a maze of corridors that
twisted and turned until they found themselves standing in one of 2 doorways staring
2 corpses of a reptilian creature lying on the floor both covered with puncture
marks.
Before anyone could spare the time to identify the now
deceased creatures every apart from Ox could hear a drone of buzzing noises
just as a swam of flying mosquito type creatures (Stirge) appeared and flew
straight at the party.
The battle is short
but not without entertainment, one of the Stirges eventually manages to attach
itself to Leonid’s neck and drains a large amount of blood. Before that Leonid
attempts to roll backwards with this bow and attempts to shoot another stirge
but rolled too far and ended up shooting Ivan in the neck.
Ivan with his hand bow manages to score a sweet spot on
another Strige causing it to explode, whilst Govan using magic missile craftily
took out another 2 of the bugs.
Once the flying curs had been dealt with the group took a
short break to examine the corpses and to give Maria time to try and help the
party with the injuries they sustained. Whilst having a break Govan is able to
identify the Stirges using his arcane knowledge and also that the 2 reptilian
creatures are also known as Troglodytes.

the group continue exploring………
